I am on the shores of a beach alone

No one is willing to break off from the rest
And be an individual

Afraid to be different
Denying a true personality that would be liberating
The fear of rejection, too great to stand

Nothing about this sea is special or unique
But it is hard to resist

Never knowing whether to take the dive
Or stand alone in my boat
And stand out from the crowd
