Melanie Willins

Remember When…

We were so young
And they were so old.
When songs were unsung,
There were stories untold…

One did not have a foe,
We liked each other happily.
There was much room to grow,
Every day we lived endlessly…

There was no war
And everyone shared.
We didn’t know what was in store
And people cared…

We were short and small,
Every day we had a ball.
We had the life that made so much sense…
This was the life of innocence.
