High School

Pressure, love, drama, and stress
All of us here trying our best

Classes, homework, the upcoming test
These assignments leave us depressed

Alcohol, drugs of course it is all abuse
But it’s also used for some sort of excuse

Skipping class for an hour detention,
Or smoking on campus for a suspension

Cell phones, ipods, even pagers
Funny how we’re only teenagers
Relationships that leave our hearts broken
Because of what truth is left unspoken

Making impressions and trying to be cool
The problem is it’s only high school

Though our times can be difficult and sometimes sad
The times we look back on are the good ones we had

Some things we do lead to our disgrace
But what makes us better are the problems we face
