Christmas Shopping

So much to do,
And so many places
To go.
It’s off to the races
To buy gifts
Before there are no more.
Moving through the mall
On a December day
Is like swimming
In an ocean of people
With a strong current.
With my map and compass
I navigate through the mall
In search of one treasure.
The PS3!!
After minutes of searching
I’ve found the treasure’s location
At the video game store.
“Curses!” I say,
“There are others in line.”
After long hours of waiting
I finally get a PS3.
I grow weary and tired,
And it’s time to go home.
Ah yes,
Nothing like a glorious day
Of Christmas shopping.
