Exercises From A Frustrated Young Poet

I sit here writing, sadness makes me sigh
I think of rhymes, erase them, repeat
The words that come to mind are always poor
But drafts are thrown away, all not complete
I strive to finish, yet can write no more
I think of all the places I could be
                                Instead of writing cursed poetry

Bored schoolchildren sit
inattentively in class
waiting for summer

What words rhyme with Shakespeare?
here, near, cheer, year, appear?
At first I tried alone,
then failed and asked around
