Lila Fakharzadeh Blinding LightsDarkness surrounds her quiet body, giving her its treasured tranquility and spreading it on her delicate features. She wakes and turns on the lights flickering in their bright glory. Awoken from the dark, her mind, now without peace, feels it is entering a world of agitation. The bulbs with all their light brighten for more attention. She blinks as tears form, but then becomes accustomed to their brilliance. Now surrounded with the light of the greedy bulbs that will not allow the dark to spread its soothing power upon her.
