Words start clean.

Penciled out clear,
Lines and spaces.
Sentences collect.

Smudge. Hand that blurs
Left, right, down.
Speak. In volume
Increasing.

My flawless intentions
Lose definition,
Speak foul.
My speech
Rehearsed in silence,
Forgotten in performance.

Absurd rendering
Of resolute purpose.
Stumbling over words
Writing, Reciting.

Meaning smeared, cramped,
Lost.

Words become profanity.
