Ski Day

Sitting on the chairlift while going up the mountain
The sun bright and the air crisp
No people, no lines
Only friends and family on fresh snow
Many runs together on every trail
The glades untouched and no ice
No worries, no hurries
A delicious meal for dinner later
Sitting together at the table with the dogs close by
Poker and cards until the early morning
Christmas and New Year’s coming up
Even better days lay ahead
