Take A Second Look

Some people like to be in the position of power
This can be a bad obsession in life
Do you think power guarantees respect?
But together they can only cause trouble
Some concepts start out well, but don’t always end up pleasant
Your high hopes can result in a new low amount of money.

Almost anyone would do ANYTHING for money
And the necessity everyone wants is power
Some decisions people make, aren’t always pleasant
All people want is a happy life
When you want so much in life, you can easily get in trouble
For most people, all they want is respect, do you?

Some think all you need is r - e - s - p - e - c - t
Does having respect mean you need money?
Money can only cause trouble
People who are happy don’t need power
Is success all people want in life?
Do they think that is what makes life pleasant?

Living for power does not always mean feeling pleasant
Some people would break the law for respect
And that kind of respect could have them behind bars for half their lives
When they get out they have no money
So they just get back in trouble
Then the lives they tried to live are the farthest from a life of power.

There are some who stay away from trouble
Their lives are more pleasant
Their smarts can get them power
And with that power they gain respect
Aren’t they the ones who deserve all the money?
The ones who play by the rule book their whole lives.

Times can be hard in life
Life can bring many troubles
On this planet we think life revolves around money
But there are many things just as pleasant
Family, friends, food, love, respect
Those are the things that lead to internal power.

Money comes with power
But can cause trouble and a loss of respect
But live right and life might finally be pleasant.
