Summer Love

You are walking along the beach,
Barefoot, holding hands.
You watch the waves crash,
While sitting in the sand.
When he looks into your eyes,
Your heart starts to race.
All you wish for,
Is that summer would go at a slower pace.
You wish it could last,
You let each moment count.
Every time you are with him,
You think, what is true love about?
The day is ending,
You say goodbye 'til tomorrow.
You lie in bed,
Thinking your heart has just been borrowed.
He leaves the next day,
Your heart's torn apart.
Summer love sucks,
But next summer's a new heart.
