The Rain

The rain outside is sprinkling
Water in a lake stays twinkling
Both day and night
The magic light
Keeps the lake Glimmering
Fish always swimming
Large amounts of rain fall

It increases the fun in football
Slipping and sliding on the field
Mud and Water combine
Pigskin is slippery
It goes all night
Causes some fright
It keeps on going

Like a river that keeps flowing
Running through miles of land
Through mountains, canyons, and city streets
Water is used in many ways
We wish it’s close on hot days
But if it is misused
Maybe even abused
It will be something that we hope to never lose.
